Metric Dowel Pin
Metric dowel pins are headless solid pins (non-threaded) manufactured with tight tolerances, used in applications that require exact alignment. Commonly used as location guides for adjacent machine parts and to keep two sections of a punch and die aligned. They should be pressed into place, excessive impact force can cause them to splinter. The m6 metric dowel pin is oversized versus the h8 metric dowel pin which is undersized.
