Metric Shaft Key
Metric Shaft Keys are most commonly used to connect a rotating machine element to the shaft. The shaft key prevents a relative rotation between the two parts and can enable torque transmission to occur. In order to have the shaft key function correctly, both the shaft and rotating elements ( pulley, coupling and gear) have to have a keyway and keyseat.
